Why stay in the winter blues when you can head off to warmer temperatures?
Winter in Algarve is the ideal season: far from summer tourism, temperatures remain decent (around 18 degrees) and the sun is always out!
Fly to Portugal and enjoy this region of Algarve when tourists are getting more and more scarce.
Visits, walks on the beach, tasting the gastronomy... A tranquil stay awaits you.
Obviously, in winter the beaches of Algarve are almost deserted. Deckchairs and umbrellas give way to pristine tourist beaches, a landscape just as enjoyable as in summer, more open. We advise you to go to the beaches, the water being at a good temperature, a swim is even possible. Rather than spending an afternoon taking refuge from the cold of the city, take advantage of the sublime setting to walk on yellow sand bordered by rocks and observe the sea.
When you go to a town such as Silves (former capital of the Algarve), you will come across many orange, clementine and lemon trees as well as storks on your way! Once in town, head to a good restaurant to enjoy the typical gastronomy of Portugal. Taste the famous Bacalhau, baked octopus, Queijo da Serra and sip a glass of Port.
In Silves, go to the Mar restaurant in Vista to enjoy quality fish.
In Lagos, let yourself be tempted by No Pátio and taste good Portuguese wine (open in the evening only).
In Faro, eat local in Taberna ze-ze
In Albufeira, enjoy the typical streets and white houses, also, think about going to Castra Marim and take some of the typical fleur de sel of the city.
Villanovo offers you a wide choice of luxury villas in Algarve. In winter, choose a comfortable villa where you will feel at home.
You can stay in a villa with a heated swimming pool if you feel like swimming, otherwise Villanovo also offers villas close to the sea so you can enjoy the sea view even when the temperatures are lower, such as the beautiful Villa Orelio.
