Keep reading if you want to know where to go for photographs and stories which will impress everyone’s feeds

  >>> 5 tips to create beautiful instagram pictures

1) Praia Dos Tres Irmaos: Located just a few kilometres away from Lagos, Praia dos tres Irmaos is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve. To reach it, one needs to get to Portimao and then head towards the Praia da Rocha and Praia do Alemão. To access the beach, one has to pass through the magnificent caves which can be explored but also are a great spot for sunset watching. To enjoy more tranquility, it is recommended to walk to the very end of the beach to access the clear blue water and bathe in peace.

 2) Praia da Marinha: This beach located in Caramujeira in the Lagoa Municipality is amongst the 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe according to the Michelin guide, and is included in the top 100 most beautiful beaches in the world. The latter is primarily due to its crystal clear water and arched limestone cliffs which charms millions of visitors every year. Praia da Marinha has not been a victim of its own charm due to its location which makes it difficult to access, ideal for those who wish to watch the Portuguese sun descend into the Atlantic Ocean peacefully.

3) Tavira: This beautiful historic town situated on the east coast of the Algarve owes its popularity to its cobblestoned streets filled with charming restaurants to cafes where one can get a taste of the local Portuguese gastronomy or simply enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while admiring the architecture. Due to its incomparable charm, the Algarve can be a little busy in the summer months and heading to Tavira for a day trip is the ideal way to escape from the hustle and bustle of beaches or larger towns.

4) Barragem do Arade: Despite mainly being associated with sandy beaches, the Golden Coast of Portugal offers scenic landscapes in its main land as well. Barragem do Arade located near Silves,  is one of the main reservoirs in the Algarve which was built in the 1940’s so that farms could access water. To this day, the 246 metres wide lake irrigates over 2300 hectares of vegetation mainly including citrus trees.

5) Benagil Caves: These caves situated between Albufeira and Lagos in the center of the Algarve and have been included in the top 5 most beautiful places in the world and will definitely impress one’s followers on instagram. To access it, one can either take a boat, a kayak or for the more adventurous ones take a stand up paddle or swim from the closest beach. Once it has been accessed, one rarely feels like their effort was for nothing!
